Drawing from a diverse global career in pharmaceutical strategy, digital transformation, and global health, Aya Caldwell is an inclusive and results-oriented leader highly skilled at bridging scientific innovation with business impact in complex international environments like Japan and across the global organization. She has a strong track record in driving strategic vision and capability development at Chugai Japan Pharmaceuticals. At Hoffmann La Roche, she headed the Global Pharmaceutical Strategy’s Digital Strategy, leading a team to shift perception from tactical execution to strategic delivery. Previously, as an Executive Director at the Novartis Group Chief Digital Office, she spearheaded the creation of a Center of Expertise for business agility and digital product management, achieving significant reductions in digital product release times. In her current work, she is instrumental in strategic planning, including spearheading the design of Go-to-Market approaches. Her earlier experience includes leading global health programs at the Novartis Foundation, where she launched a community-based hypertension program in Ghana. Aya is known for creating followship and empowering others, operating effectively and cross-functionally.
